A TikTok creator who goes by the username LookUpLashes (real name, Maya) is being accused of scamming her followers and customers, on top of drug use.
To start with the drug usage, Maya was hosting a livestream when she proceeded to seemingly pass out in the middle of it (video posted below). One Reddit user, zombpires, who posted and commented on the incident wrote "...somehow found her on live one night and as a former heroin addict knew right away she was high as a kite." The same user also wrote to say that it could be fentanyl as well. A number of people on the Reddit thread wrote in to say that they recognized the behavior in their own friends and family who suffered from fentanyl and opioid addiction.
According to her website, Maya has two children. So I sincerely hope she can have someone intervene soon and get her the help she needs. Not just for her own safety and well-being but also for her kids. How she hasn't been reported to CPS yet is surprising.
This isn't her first time exhibiting this behavior. Just last month, Maya was again on a livestream, appearing almost unconscious.
As for the alleged scamming, Maya has apparently been sending her customers expired and/or broken makeup products. Others have posted TikToks were they show things like the contents of a beauty box that was supposed to have $150-300 worth of stuff but only contained a few cheap stuff. Several people added that they tried to contact Maya about the less than impressive goods, but were blocked.
A mess.
I have no idea where this woman lives but, if you do, do a lot of people a favor and contact CPS.
Aug 6 edit: Maya's TikTok account is now private and under the username @makeupmama88. She also has a second account under the username @beautymysterybox, which is currently public.
